Self extracting archive (Only extractable on a PC)
Gzipped tar file (Only extractable on a UNIX workstation)

Both forms of archive yield PowerPoint files which can only be used on a PC in conjunction with MicroSoft PowerPoint. To extract the self-extracting archive, place in the directory you wish to contain your slides and type "pps" at the DOS prompt. To extract the zipped tar file (on your UNIX workstation) place the archive in your chosen directory and type "gunzip pps.tar.gz" and then "tar -xvf pps.tar". Finally transfer the extracted files to your PC.

In both cases you will end up with a collection of four files containig tables (c5tables.ppt, c6tables.ppt, c7tables.ppt and c9tables.ppt) and nine files containing figures (c1figs.ppt..c9figs.ppt).
